| What is Positive Affirmation? Affirmation is a declaration that something is true. Positive Affirmation is a declaration that a "Positive" something is true. It is usually a simple statement such as "Life is getting better". Positive Thinking, or Optimism, is a belief system wherein people and events are inherently good. Good is considered as whatever entails reverence towards life, continuity, happiness, or human flourishing. Affirmation of the thoughts rising from Positive Thinking acts as the catalyst for achieving your goals and plays an integral role in promoting a feeling of Happiness and Well-being.
Why should I practice Positive Affirmation? Your emotional mood or state-of-mind is inseparable from the pattern of thoughts that you have. When your mood is negative your pattern of thought is going to be mostly negative. To promote a positive mood, change the way you think. Positive Affirmation will change your mood to a more positive outlook and your pattern of thought will become more positive. If you notice that your self-talk is less positive than you would like, recite your Positive Affirmations and test your self-talk a little later. You will find that you are back on track with more positive self-talk than you were before. The more positive your pattern of thoughts, the more positive your mood. The more positive your mood, the more positive your pattern of thoughts. The practice of Positive Affirmation will help keep your pattern of thought more positive.
How do I start using Positive Affirmations? Create your own affirmations tuned to your lifestyle and goals. They will be more meaningful to you and the process of creating your own affirmations will be insightful. This insight will be of further use to you later. Refer to and compare your affirmations to the samples provided below. Noting which affirmations you think of and which you do not think of may tell you a little bit about your current thought pattern. In the beginning it is not necessary to include every affirmation that you are given in example. It is best to start out with affirmations that are easy for you to believe in. Doubt can not be a part of your daily affirmations. Practice reading and stating your affirmations daily. Post your affirmations somewhere that you will notice in the morning shortly after you rise, like on your bathroom mirror. Whenever you notice your affirmations, recite them to yourself. Don't recite from memory, adhere to your list with no omission. You can do this silently or out loud. It doesn't matter. Stay focused; don't allow yourself to be distracted while you recite through your affirmations, and maintain belief in your affirmations.
